Tritonia Finna is a search service that brings together the diverse electronic resources of the institutions of higher education and the printed materials of Tritonia in one place. In 2024, more than 1.09 million searches were made through Tritonia Finna. The search service was evaluated in 2025 as part of the Finna user survey organized by the National Library of Finland.
Tritonia Finna has strengthened its position as a reliable partner for students and researchers – a useful, functional, and widely used service that supports learning and research. The service is regarded as a key tool for studying and research. Usage at is very active, as 69 % of users use the service at least weekly, and 92 % at least monthly. Only a small proportion of users (7 %) use the service less frequently than once a month.
The usability of the search service receives praise. 95 % of respondents agree that the service is useful, and 90 % find it easy to use. Time savings are also emphasized: more than 85 % of respondents feel that the service speeds up information retrieval.
The overall rating of the service increased compared to previous years: users gave a score of 8.4, and a large proportion would recommend the service to others. The recommendation index NPS (Net Promoter Score) is 42, which is a good result. More than 97 % of respondents reported that they usually find the material they are looking for in Tritonia Finna.
Open comments highlight ease of use, clarity, and comprehensiveness: “The search service is great and makes life easier!” and “It works and runs smoothly.” The service is praised for being fast and user-friendly.
