Textbooks and the newest and most frequently used subject and research literature are located in the library. Books available in the library are picked up directly from the shelves and cannot be reserved in Finna. If all items (excluding possible short loans) are borrowed, you can place a hold.

NB! Currently it is not possible to reserve the items in Tritonia Allegro (Jakobstad) in Finna. Please contant tritonia.allegro@novia.fi.
The remaining subject and research literature is located in remote stacks on campus. These items must be requested in Finna in advance. The staff collects items from the remote stacks daily.
In the remote stacks, there are also older volumes of journals, special collections and other resources that cannot be borrowed. You can use this form to request items to be read in the library.

You will receive an e-mail when the requested item is available for pickup and borrowing. The item is available in the pickup shelf for 3 opening days. In Tritonia (Vaasa), you can find your reservation placed according to the last four digits of your personal reservation ID. You can check the last day for pickup and the reservation ID in the e-mail notification, the app Tuudo or Finna (Your Account).
Remember to borrow the reserved item with the self-service machine!

The Tritonia Express fee (2 €/book) is charged when you wish to reserve a textbook that is in the library for you to pick up later. You come to pick the item up from that unit.
You can reserve textbooks by phone or e-mail on opening days. The service is free of charge for the staff of University of Vaasa, VAMK and Novia as well as for physically handicapped students.
You can order books from Allegro to Vaasa and vice versa. Note! This service does not apply to short loans and textbooks. The service charge is 5 €/book for our students and 10 €/book for other customers. Books are ordered free of charge between our units for the staff of the university and universities of applied sciences as well as for physically handicapped students.
