An automatic reminder is sent by e-mail for loans with an approaching due date and loans that are already late. You can see the due dates of your loans in your Finna account.
Overdue fees must be paid, even though reminders would not arrive due to e.g. an e-mail malfunction or an invalid address.
Respite is the short period of time that follows the expired due date. No overdue fees accumulate during this time period. The length of the respite varies depending on the borrowed material.
Length of the respite period:
If the overdue loans are not returned during the respite period, fees will accumulate also for the respite days.
