We support the staff and postgraduate students in our university and universities of applied sciences in the field of data management, for example by providing advice and courses on data management, as well as evaluation and support services for records management plans. We contribute to the development of our universities' research data and research and metadata storage services.
We act as maintenance users of the DMPTuuli tool, which supports the creation of data management plans, and provide guidance and training on the use of the tool and the creation of the plan. We also provide a service for the review and commenting of the DMPs, which is mandatory for some externally funded projects.
We are committed to national and our universities' own open science policies and promote the openness of data by encouraging the publication of research data or at least its metadata in national or international data repositories. We act as local user support of national Fairdata services and encourage the description of data metadata using at least the Fairdata Qvain tool.
